Review by hotel critic
During our recent stay at the Bridgemary Manor Hotel & Pub over Easter, I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere and comfort it offered. The lovely staff made our experience truly memorable, even going the extra mile to prepare a packed breakfast for us the night before since we had to catch an early ferry to France. The clean and cozy room, with its private bathroom and complimentary toiletries, provided the perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring. Dining in the restaurant was another highlight, where I savored an excellent meal accompanied by friendly service. The on-site bar boasted an inviting ambiance, making it a terrific spot to unwind with a drink. While the hotel is slightly distanced from the bustling town center, its historical charm and proximity to local attractions like the Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower made it an ideal base for our travels. I can't recommend the Bridgemary Manor highly enough—I’d be more than happy to return for another stay, especially with my fellow archaeology enthusiasts!
